I Love the Weekend!!!

This week we were lucky enough to celebrate Presidents' Day!! With this fantastic holiday came the privileged of having a day off school! So... What do we do with our three day weekend?

We give the dog a bath!

We go for early morning hikes! Man it was so cold. Andrew forgot to grab gloves and thought he automatically got to use mine.

We takes naps outside in the sun!

And we make a shirt for Katie to wear to Zach's baseball games!! I hope he is completely embarrassed! 

I love having long weekends but the faster I get back to class the faster the semester can be over!! Yay for weekends!!!

Painting

This weekend we decided we wanted to paint our house (I know, what were we thinking)?

Anyways, so we marched on over to Home Depot to see what they had. We ended up finding a 5 gallon bucket (yes you read that right!) of paint that was on sale! Now, I'm not exactly sure what we'll do with a full five gallons unless we decide to paint our whole house, but it was cheaper than the 1 gallon buckets they had!! Anyways, the best part about it, besides getting it on sale, was that it wasn't a miss matched color we just had to be okay with, we got to pick what ever color we wanted to make it!!! Yahoo!! So we decided to go with a brown color and got right to work!

The finished product! Definitely not painting another wall for at least a few days :)

Love Is In The Air

Valentines Day!! Not usually a huge fan but this year was a blast! Andrew had to go to school and I slept most of the day from work the night before.... oh well. We went to Costa that night for dinner! I don't think I've ever stood in line so long at that place.... but it's alright because I definitely wasn't going to make dinner that night! When we got home I had a fun night planned :) it was called... The Game of Love!

Yesterday Andrew turned 25! We had dinner and cake with my family and then we opened presents!!

Puppy Love

Meet Katie

Doesn't she just look like a little princess? Well in her mind she is!!! She might be one of the most spoiled dogs ever but I still love her to pieces!

Katie is a full grown Mini Pinscher... meaning she weights about 10 lbs and stands about 11 inches off the ground. She is so funny! She is house trained... although when she gets excited there's just no stopping it.....

She loves playing tug of war with her toys and she usually wants to play the moment you start working on something important.... some might say she's like a little kid!!!

She is a very well behaved dog and her favorite place to be is on your lap or right next to you. If you lay down, she will curl up right there beside you and go to sleep.

And if you have a blanket, even better! She loves curling up under blankets! She has even started this thing where if you don't have a blanket she will try to nuzzle up under the bottom of your shirt.... like so.

She is also completely proficient at walking on her back legs. She looks like a cross between a prairie dog and a kangaroo. I think it's adorable... Andrew doesn't agree. She is also very smart! She can follow basic commands such as sit and lay down and she learned how to roll over and shake in the last week or two!!!

Her favorite place to hide her bone.... in the blanket on the couch....

Fab Ab February

This month is Fab Ab February! I'm going to call it a challenge for lack of a better word, but quite honestly, it isn't that difficult. It takes less than ten minutes every day of February, with rest days on Sundays. By the end of it, if you can't already, you will be doing 100 sit ups, 25 push ups, and 2 minute plank. Let's get Fab Abs!!!
