Nail Polish

Who knew that this little bottle of nail polish would be so important. Yesterday, as I was getting ready for work, I was in a pretty big hurry, seeing as I had slept WAY too long. Throughout my madness running around the house to make sure I had everything I needed, I stopped for some reason. Don't ask me why, but I decided to waste precious time to grab some finger nail polish. Crazy, right? I mean, it's not like I'd ever in a million years have time to actually sit down and paint my nails at work anyway. But for some reason I thought I needed it.
Fast forward a few hours. I got the chance to take care of one pretty amazing little girl.A pretty sick little girl. She was being so brave while everyone poked and prodded her. I got her to talk to me, trying to distract her from everything else going on around her, and I found out that her favorite color was pink! And that she was supposed to have her nails painted that very day, but then she got sick and it couldn't happen. Hmmm....
She was so excited when I told her that I just happened to have some pink nail polish and that I'd paint her nails for her. It is definitely moments like this that make me love my job.

Date Night!

I love date night! Last Saturday we made our way to the most beautiful place on earth.

I love going to the temple. I love the feeling when I walk onto the grounds, I love the feeling I get when I walk in the doors. And I love the way I feel standing next to my husband in this gorgeous place. I love knowing that we can be together forever. Forever folks. That is a wonderful thing to know.

After the temple we went to dinner. Andrew treated me to Red Robin because I had never been there and apparently that was just not acceptable. While we waited for our food to come we couldn't help notice the little girl in the booth next to us. She kept telling everyone who walked by 'It's my birthday! It's my birthday!!!' She was pretty adorable (even though her mother had, apparently, just rolled out of bed....)
Dinner was fantastic! I had a delicious Spicy Southwest Salad and Andrew had some gourmet cheese burger. Unfortunately I forgot to pick up my left over salad as we left.....

We also stopped by PetSmart. I wanted to get Katie a new tag because it happened to be her birthday the next day (yes, the previous owners had medical records for her more in depth than mine)! We got her a cute, blinged out collar, a matching pink tag, and a fun chew toy!!!

She grabbed it out of my hand before I even had it out of the wrapping! She was so excited to play with it.
We had such a good night, I love getting to spend time with my best friend!

Hubby

Meet Andrew. Wow! Is he a stud, or what? Andrew has been the most perfect husband a girl could ever ask for.Andrew is my life. He is absolutely amazing. A few things about Andrew. He is a complete genius. Especially when it comes to numbers and problems and figuring things out. He is also incredibly determined. When he sets his mind to something there is no stopping him. He could take the world by storm if that's what he decided to do.

Andrew has such a great personality and loves to have fun! Some of the things he likes to do includes paint fights, cave diving, pumpkin carving, and gingerbread house making!

Andrew means the world to me. He is my partner in crime, my shoulder to cry on, my strong arm to lean on. He is my everything. I love this man more than words can express.

I LOVE YOU ANDREW!!!

Turban

Lately I have been in this crazy I-want-a-baby kind of mood. And then I remember that I still have three years of school. My plan to combat this crisis is to find all the cute baby stuff I can make and go to town. The way I see it, siblings will be having babies, and if not I can simply stock up for that time when I am the one having the baby! With that being said....
Behold my latest creation.

Unfortunately it is slightly difficult to see, but this would be a baby hat. Or I think it was called a baby turban..... either way it is adorable! However, I can't take credit for this creation. I found the crochet pattern at this link. The pattern is really super easy... even I could do it! All you need is 1 skein of yarn in the color of your choice and a crochet  hook. I used a 6 mm size J.
Prepare yourself for more fun things to come.

All About Us

We met on the first day of class, my first semester at college. Andrew had just moved here and didn't know anyone. Before class started I did something I had never done before.... I asked for a guys number, Andrew's number. We exchanged numbers and went about the rest of our school day. Andrew called me later that afternoon.... and took me on a date. I definitely didn't get home from that first date thinking I was going to marry him, but I was absolutely okay with having lunch with him every day for the rest of the week.... and the week after that.... and the week after that...

Andrew proposed on November 30 and we were married on March 16, 2012.

That was the best day of my life. We were surrounded by friends and family who supported us in our decision. I will never forget the day my best friend became my eternal companion.

It's been a very busy year for us (no, I'm NOT pregnant).
We went on a cruise,

 bought a house,

got a dog,

and even have a few surgeries under our belt!
We have had the love and support of all our family and friends through everything and we are so grateful for that. We are still so much in love and learning how to make our marriage better every single day.
