Happy Anniversary!!

This weekend Andrew and I were lucky enough to celebrate our 1st anniversary!!! Wahoo!! We made it one whole year!! This weekend was fantastic! I had so much fun! We were very smart when it came to planning our wedding over spring break last year. It meant that it fell on spring break again this year as well! And that meant that we got to go to Cali for 4 days and not have to worry about work or school or anything else (almost) for that matter! 

We got to visit the San Diego Temple, which is just as pretty on the inside as it is on the outside. We had so much fun and it is definitely a beautiful temple. Different than what we are used to but still amazing :)

We also went to the beach!! Unfortunately it was pretty chilly most of the time we were there, so these beach excursions weren't for sun bathing. We did have fun walking the beach and looking at all the animals though! We went to La Jolla Cove the first day. That was a cool place but I'm not sure I'd go back.... there were a whole bunch of seals and birds all over the rocks and the shore! It was fun to get to see them so close and watch them but oh man did they STINK!!! It hurt your lungs to breathe in there was so much stench in the air.... definitely not going back. 

We also went to Pacific Beach, and Oceanside Harbor Beach, which we were able to walk to from our hotel. Harbor Beach had an outcropping of rock we walked out on quite a ways out into the sea!!! You could tell it was low tide because of all the clams, or mussels, or what ever the heck they are attached to all the rocks a little ways down. We even saw a couple star fish!!! 

We also visited the Gaslamp Quarter, right in the middle of down town San Diego. What a cool place! Mostly it was a whole concoction of fancy restaurants and just as many bars, but it was still very cool to walk through it and see all the sights and all the people. We also got to visit the Padre's stadium, which is smack dab on the edge of the Gaslamp Quarter. 

For our anniversary we went to dinner at the Joe's Crab Shack, which was also just a walk from our hotel, which happened to sit smack dab on the harbor.

And that night we went to WICKED!! Wow that was so much fun!! I would definitely do that again!

We had such a fun time celebrating our anniversary and can't wait for many more!!
